WHAT IS RIGHT OF RENEWAL?2019-02-08T00:33:31+00:00

As a subscriber to Season 2019 you will have ongoing entitlement to book your same seats in the same series in the State Theatre and Playhouse for future seasons, as long as you continue to subscribe on an annual basis. 

CAN I BUY TICKETS TO INDIVIDUAL SHOWS?2019-02-08T00:34:11+00:00

Yes. 

Subscribers may book additional tickets for individual shows of their choice at the time of subscribing. Every effort will be made to allocate these additional tickets as close as possible to your subscription seats. If renewing or booking your subscription online, the best available additional tickets will be added to your order. 

General Public may book individual show tickets from Monday 8 April. All seats to all shows are available for purchase through Arts Centre Melbourne or Ticketmaster from Monday 8 April. 

WHAT CONCESSIONS DO YOU ACCEPT? WHAT IDENTIFICATION MUST I PROVIDE?2019-02-08T00:35:26+00:00

We accept Age Pension, Seniors Card and Full-time Student concessions. 

Concessions must be Australian Issued and valid at the time of booking. Full or partial refunds are not available if you become eligible for a concession after you have booked. Proof of concession may be required to gain access to the venue if being admitted on a concession ticket. Failure to provide valid proof will result in an upgrade fee on that ticket. 

Please note concession prices apply only to single ticket sales as Subscription prices are already discounted. 

DO YOU ACCEPT COMPANION CARDS?2019-02-08T00:36:01+00:00

Yes. A valid Companion Card or copy thereof must be sighted at the time of booking. Please contact Arts Centre Melbourne on 1300 182 183 for further information. 

WHAT IS THE CHANGEOVER PERIOD?2019-02-08T00:36:29+00:00

At the time of processing your subscription you were allocated the best available seats. At the end of the renewal period some new seats may become available. To access these seats there is a changeover period. 

The changeover period for our 2019 Season is 25 March to 1 April, 2019. 

Subscribers who wish to change their subscription series from their existing 2018 subscription series, or who wish to change their seating position, need to renew their subscription in the first instance and request these changes in order to avoid exchange fees. Requested changes will be processed prior to 8 April. 

Subscribers who have received their tickets and wish to change their series or seating position need to take their tickets to the Arts Centre Melbourne Box Office between 25 March to 1 April. No changeover fees apply during this period.

CAN I EXCHANGE MY TICKETS?2019-02-08T00:37:01+00:00

As a Subscriber, if any of the dates you have chosen become inconvenient, you may exchange your tickets for another performance of the same show. Either visit the Arts Centre Melbourne Box Office or mail your tickets to the Arts Centre Melbourne Box Office (PO Box 7585, ST KILDA ROAD VIC 8004) no later than seven days prior to your performance and provide details of your preferred new time and date. Please note if you exchange out of a performance in the Saturday Preview, Wednesday Matinee or Thursday Matinee Series additional charges may apply. An exchange fee of $4.40 per ticket applies. Seats are subject to availability and no refunds will be processed. This service is available from Monday 8 April. 

Single tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase except as outlined in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice if an event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly re-located. 

DO YOU CHARGE CREDIT CARD FEES?2019-02-08T00:38:07+00:00

No. Any and all credit card fees are absorbed by The Production Company. No additional credit card charges are passed on to our customers.

WHAT ADDITIONAL CHARGES WILL I INCUR?2019-02-08T00:38:37+00:00

An Arts Centre Melbourne Service Charge of $8.50 applies on each Subscription order. 

An Arts Centre Melbourne Service Charge of $8.50 applies on all individual ticket orders except when booking in person at the Box Office. 

Ticketmaster Service Charges are applicable and are listed on their website. As such their ticket prices may be higher than those listed on The Production Company and Arts Centre Melbourne websites. 

I HAVE LOST MY TICKETS. WHAT CAN I DO?2019-02-08T00:39:07+00:00

Lost ticket vouchers can be arranged by contacting the Arts Centre Melbourne on 1300 182 183. Please note lost ticket vouchers cannot be exchanged and Arts Centre Melbourne may charge a fee for this service.

Ticket scalping and the presence of unauthorised resellers is an issue which continues to frustrate the live performance industry in Australia.

PERFORMANCE ALTERNATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS 

The Production Company reserves the right to add, withdraw or substitute artists, vary ticket prices, and/or vary advertised programmes, seating arrangements and audience capacity. 

In the case of a cancelled performance, ticket holders may exchange into another performance of the same production, subject to availability, or into another performance of the current season by returning their tickets to the place of purchase. If a refund is required, tickets must be returned to the place of purchase within 20 days of the cancelled performance. 

Ticket prices may fluctuate due to demand and The Production Company reserves the right to alter prices without notice. Any changes are made in accordance with Live Performance Australia’s Ticketing Code of Practice: http://www.liveperformance.com.au/ticketing_code_practice 

The Production Company reserves the right to record, broadcast, telecast or webcast any event.
